DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: October 2026

WaziBot lets businesses upload their own content — logos, product photos, and storefront images — to build their public store. This policy explains how we respond to claims that content uploaded by a business infringes someone else's copyright, in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

⚠️ Operator action required. To claim the DMCA's "safe harbor" protection (limited liability for infringing content uploaded by users, not WaziBot itself), the designated agent below must be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office's online Designated Agent Directory — a one-time filing, currently a $6 fee, at copyright.gov/dmca-directory. Until that registration is complete and the details below are updated with the real registered agent, this page describes intended policy, not an active safe-harbor registration.

1. Designated Copyright Agent

Agent name: [Set after USCO registration — e.g. business owner or legal entity name]
Company: WaziBot
Email: dmca@wazibothq.com
Mailing address: [Set to the same registered address used in the USCO filing]

2. Filing a takedown notice

If you believe content on a WaziBot-hosted storefront infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the designated agent above including:

We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the identified material, and notify the business that uploaded it, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c).

3. Counter-notification

A business whose content was removed may submit a counter-notice disputing the claim, following the same contact and signature requirements above. Content may be reinstated per the DMCA's counter-notice procedure unless the original complainant files a court action.

4. Repeat infringers

Accounts found to be repeat infringers of third-party copyright are subject to suspension or termination.
